General Discussion / Re: New Year's Resolutions
« on: December 27, 2011, 10:31:27 AM »
As much as I would like to lose weight and all of the other traditional resolutions, my one resolution is going to be for my spiritual well being first.  I plan to read through the entire bible this year and pray more often.  It is past time to work on my relationship with God.

I have 5 more snowmen made up and ready to go! These are great for gift giving. They are the large 4.4 oz bars, not the smaller King size bars.

1960's cabinet/console stereo. Everything works but it does need a new needle for the turn table. I have seen them on eBay for around $5-$6. My husband is asking $45 obo.

Here is a link to the Facebook album where I have pictures of it...

We used to plant it when I was little and I ate it raw, right out of the ground.  My mom was barely able to wash it before I was gnawing on it!  It always reminded me of a turnip.  I havent had any since I was little!  Where did you find it?

I stopped in there yesterday and got a grill chicken wrap.  It was very, very good!  They also give out cards for the Spud Club, where after you buy so many baked potatoes you get one free.

Wanted / Wanted: Bib Overalls
« on: October 21, 2011, 11:54:20 AM »
I am needing a pair of kids bib overalls for a Halloween contest.  If anyone has a pair of boys bibs in a size 10 or 12, I would be willing to pay a reasonable price for a pair!  Thank you and God bless!

I have heard alot of speculation on who the new owner is, but have never heard anything concrete.

Ours will be on, but where we are there will not likely be very many trick or treaters.

We were considering Jeff Dunham for my husband and our oldest two boys until we seen the tickets prices.  $50 a ticket is just too steep.

I know my grandmother uses it in all of her baking and this is the only thing she does change from her original recipes.  With 3 boys, I don't do very much from scratch myself anymore.

Gibson County Memories / Re: Best Teacher
« on: October 02, 2011, 09:16:08 PM »
I have had several teachers who really influenced me.  First one would be Mr Jerry Mason, who was my teacher in grade school.  He still knows me by name and speaks to me each and every time he sees me.

The other teacher who had such an impact on my life was Mr Jack Simmons, who was my graphics arts teacher in high school.  He believed in me and encouraged me to step up and do my best.

I had alot of incredible teachers but these two really stand out the most.
